Originally rugby brands, Under Armour is now the main sponsor of Tottenham and are breaking into the football market. It has a unique two way stretch upper, the boots wrap your feet in a lightweight ‘second skin’ for incredible feel and powerful support. The rubberised 3D-printed external layer also has the added benefit of improving contact with the ball in any conditions. It’s main attraction is the comfort and fit of the boot.

Mizuno are renowned for their innovation in new technology and they don’t disappoint with these state of the art boots. Three different panels on the instep perform different functions: Mukaiten (‘non-spin’) creates an unpredictable flight pattern for the ball, and is designed to throw the keeper off; Tatekaiten (‘top-spin’) creates vicious amounts of dip; and Yokokaiten (‘side-spin’) gives players more controlled curl. It’s unclear whether these functions actually work but it certainly is something that catches the eye.
